WebApr 6, 2012 · Also, for the record, a true compensated / ported barrel is better, because as soon as the barrel moves backwards, it only travels about 1/8-1/4" before it leaves the compensator. Because of this, there is some fouling on the front face of the slide. I accept this since the comp pretty much lives on my gun, and I'll never see the fouling.
