How many protons does the element helium have
Web13 okt. 2016 · The helium atom has 2 electrons. How did I know this? Well, I looked at the Periodic Table, and saw that for He, Z=2. If Z=2, this means that there are 2 positive charges, 2 protons, in the helium nucleus, and for electrical neutrality there must be 2 negative charges, 2 electrons, also associated with the atom. WebHelium is an element, so to make an element you have to combine protons and neutrons which is much much harder than it sounds. There are only 2 environments that commonly make elements. First is inside stars where the pressure and heat are unimaginably high that the protons and neutrons flu around in massive soup until they can stick to each other.
